Account and household data
Parents can create an account to back up household setup, child profiles, chores, scores, approvals, reward requests, and settings. Children do not need email addresses or online accounts.
Privacy policy
Effective date: 16 July 2026. ScoreYourChores is a family chore scoreboard for parents and children. This policy describes the current iOS release.
Parents can create an account to back up household setup, child profiles, chores, scores, approvals, reward requests, and settings. Children do not need email addresses or online accounts.
The app keeps local device state so the family scoreboard remains usable during normal app use. Deleting the app removes local device data from that device.
Signed-in parent households can sync household data to our backend provider so the scoreboard can be backed up and restored. Access is protected by parent account authentication.
The current release does not use advertising identifiers, analytics trackers, third-party ads, cross-app tracking, contact access, location access, camera access, or push notifications. The system photo picker opens only when a parent chooses a profile photo.
ScoreYourChores may offer an optional Plus subscription through Apple In-App Purchase. Plus unlocks larger family routines, such as more child profiles and active chores. App subscription purchases are handled by Apple.
Reward pot values are virtual family-managed values. Parents may record that a manual reward was given outside the app, but ScoreYourChores does not process reward payments, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, or cash-outs.
Child profiles are managed by parents and are used only for the household scoreboard. Families should not enter sensitive personal information into chore titles, notes, or child profile names.
A parent may choose an optional child profile photo. Selected photos are cropped and uploaded to private storage for the signed-in family. They are shown using time-limited links and are not used for tracking, advertising, or identity recognition. Parents can remove them in Settings.
To delete cloud account, household data, and stored profile photos, use Settings in the app to request account deletion, or contact privacy@scoreyourchores.com.
